Responsibilities

• Support of the CCD X-ray single crystal diffractometer
• Curator of the mineralogical collection of the institute

Main Research Activity

• Synthesis of crystalline compounds (hydrothermally and from melt), particularly sulfates, selenates, selenites, arsenates, nitrates and carbonates
• Crystal structure investigation of minerals and synth. inorganic compounds, e.g. members of the natrochalcite series, the kieserite group, selenites of Cu²⁺ and Fe³⁺ and REE compounds
• Gemological investigations, synthesis of gemstones
